FOURTH ANNUAL

SPORTING CLAYS EVENT
&
PIG ROAST LUNCHEON

SUNDAY AUGUST 2, 2009

Hosted by the
World Class Shooting School

of
Griffin & Howe
At Hudson Farms

Andover, NJ

Dear fellow NWTF members and friends,

As the autumn hunting seasons are fast upon us, the Spruce Run Chapter would like to extend to you our warmest wishes for safe and successful outdoor adventures this year.

This year we are trying a new fundraiser for the chapter. Even though this event is a little expensive, it is a rare opportunity for you to experience the atmosphere and elegance at one of the finest shooting venues of the world.

Griffin and Howe is world famous for catering to discerning sportsman who appreciate the finest custom rifles, shotguns and accessories available in the world. They also have a world-class shooting school at The Hudson Farm, in Andover, NJ.

Located on 3000 beautifully landscaped acres, Hudson Farm is specifically designed to cater to the distinguished members of Griffin and Howe, and offers one of the finest quality 19-station sporting clays course in the country.

Griffin and Howe is very generous and regularly uses this facility to raise money for various conservation groups, such as the NWTF, and Pheasants Forever. They donated a special Sporting Clays event and pheasant hunt to our Hunting Heritage Banquet last January that included lodging, and meals. We are happy to be invited back for this fall.

The Spruce Run Chapter of the National Wildlife Turkey Federation cordially invites you to our 1st Annual Sporting Clays Event at Griffin & Howe/The Hudson Farm in Andover NJ on Saturday September 30th, 2006.

This special day of Sporting Clays starts off with breakfast and registration, and finishes up with some great Raffles, an Auction and a PIG ROAST!

So, if you wish to have a great time, please plan on joining us at this fun event.

Hope to see you there.

Jerry McCusker
President, Spruce Run Chapter, NWTF

JAKES PROGRAM
Seventh Annual JAKES Day

August 22, 2009
Pequest Fish Hatchery

Pequest Road
Oxford, NJ

NEW THIS YEAR

SHOTGUN, ARCHERY, AND FISHING!!

We have been invited back to the Pequest Facility for our Annual Fishing Day this year. However, we have some additional activities for our JAKES.

Staff from the NJ Div of Fish and Wildlife Hunter Safety will be on hand for the kids to get some hands-on shooting with shotguns and bows.

Participants (over the age of 10) who wish to will earn credit the shooting/outdoors portion of their Hunter Safety Course, and if they have already recived the registration materials for their license test, may complete the written portion after the event.
(Hunter Safety CD and registration kits are available wherever hunting licenses are sold)

We will also have the fishing in the Trout Education Pond at Pequest. This pond holds huge trout and we have had kids catching trout up to 12 pounds! It is an event they will cherish for a very long time.

NJ Fish and Wildlife volunteers help our youngsters learn catch-and-release techniques that keep this pond in great shape for young anglers all year long.

We would like to thank all the volunteers and attendees that made our Seventh Annual Fishing Derby a fun outing for all last year and we are looking forward to
Our 2009 event in a few weeks.
